We'll do any size job if it's a good match. For large projects we often bring on professional colleagues from the region to keep it rolling.
Generally not more than an hour from Baltimore but we will occasionally travel deep into the hinterlands for the right project.
We do one project at a time, with an occasional exception for delays or unforeseen situations. Adam is on-site everyday so you can always get the latest updates straight from the horse's mouth.
Ah, the age old dilemma. For dry-laid work we certainly don't use mortar for the joints. Generally we use fine gravel (3/8 inch or rice) to maintain permeability. Promoting moss and other ground covers is also a great solution. We are not big fans of polymeric sand- as if we need to go spreading more plastic through the land, and it comes loose in a few years anyway.
No, not really. With stones there is more than one solution and pieces can be shaped to fit.
